642 km Range Skywell ET5 Premium Electric SUV Now In Nepal; Check Price And Features

To address the growing demand of consumers towards electric vehicles, G Motors has announced the arrival of Skywell electric cars in the Nepalese market ahead of the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2023. The premium Chinese EV brand which has a presence in more than 48 countries including Germany, Israel, Turkey and Russia will start its Nepal journey with the ET5 electric SUV. G Motors has officially launched Skywell through its sub-brand G EV.

The Skywell ET5 is a large-size electric crossover which is priced at an introductory Rs 1.09 Crore. The ET5 delivers a charge of 642 km (WLTP) on a single charge making it the highest-range EV in Nepal, says the company. We assume the Skywell ET5 will be introduced in a long-range variant. The electric SUV gets an 85.9 kWh battery pack and a front-mounted electric motor to produce 150 kW and 320 Nm of torque. Similarly, it goes from 0-100 km/h under 7.9 seconds. The ET5 can be charged up to 80% in just half an hour using a fast charger.The Skywell ET5 dimensions are 4698 x 1908 x 1696mm and a generous wheelbase of 2800mm. The minimum ground clearance stands at 159mm while the bootspace is 467 litres and can be expanded up to 1141 litres. Suspension duties are handled by MacPherson struts on the front and multi-link on the rear. Similarly, braking duties are taken care of by all-wheel disc brakes, with ventilated discs on the front.In terms of safety, the Skywell ET5 gets all the active and passive safety features like Four Airbags, ABS with EBD, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Front and Rear Parking Sensor, Rearview Camera, Hill Start Assist Control, Hill Descent Control, Auto Hold, and Cruise Control System, etc. Moreover, it also gets certain ADAS features.[nd_gallery images="40902,40903,40904,40905"]The ET5 electric SUV receives an electrically adjustable driver seat, a keyless entry system, front seats with heating and ventilation, a powered tailgate, and a multimedia system with a 12.8-inch infotainment system. The equipment list also includes modern high-beam laser headlights, a panoramic roof and fully folding seats patented by the brand for healthy sleep.

G Motors has been selling various brand vehicles in the Nepali market as a local dealer for various brands. The company has served over 2000 consumers from more than 8 showrooms in Kathmandu and Itahari. Kailash Babu Gelal, Managing Director of G Motors, says the Skywell ET5 will appeal to consumers who want a premium electric SUV without sacrificing high-level performance.
